How many questions are in the app?+

The app contains hundreds of DMV-style questions covering all topics on the California written test. Free users can access a core set of questions; upgrading to Pro unlocks the complete question bank.

What languages are supported?+

CA DMV Prep supports 60+ languages, matching the languages offered by the California DMV: Spanish, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, French, German, and many more. Select your language in the app's Settings.

How does the test simulation work?+

Test mode presents 36 timed questions, just like the real California DMV written test. You need 83% (30 out of 36) to pass. Results are saved to your test history so you can track improvement.

Can I review questions I got wrong?+

Yes. The app tracks every question you answer incorrectly. Use the "Wrong Questions" section on the home screen to practice only the questions you've missed until you master them.

Does the app work offline?+

Yes. All questions, images, and explanations are stored on your device. You can study anywhere without an internet connection.

What are the Pro upgrade options?+

We offer three one-time purchase tiers that unlock the full question bank and remove ads. Check the app's upgrade screen for current pricing. All purchases are non-recurring.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?+

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchases." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

Troubleshooting

App stuck on loading screen+

The app loads question data on first launch. Ensure your device has at least 200MB of free storage. If the issue persists, delete and reinstall the app.

Pro features not unlocked after purchase+

Try going to Settings > Restore Purchases. If that doesn't work, check that the purchase completed in your Apple ID purchase history (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions & Purchases).

App crashes on launch+

Ensure you have iOS 16.0 or later. Force-close the app, restart your device, and update to the latest version from the App Store.
